Lifetime Achievement Award For Textile Veteran Amrishbhai Patel

Veteran industrialist Amrishbhai Patel, Chairman and Managing Director of the Dishman Group, Shirpur, has been conferred with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his enduring contribution to India’s textile industry. The honour was announced at the Textiles 2030 International Conference held in Mumbai on January 30th and was formally accepted on his behalf by his son, Chintanbhai Patel, Mayor of Shirpur.

The one-day international conference, organised by the Textile Association of India (TAI) at Hotel The Lalit, brought together scientists, industry leaders, policymakers and professionals to deliberate on future manufacturing, technical textiles and evolving global market expectations.

The award recognises Patel’s leadership and vision that have helped shape the textile sector over more than four decades. Industry leaders noted that under his guidance, the focus has expanded beyond scale and production to include sustainability, innovation, quality-led growth and socio-economic development, strengthening the sector’s overall ecosystem and generating significant employment.

In a message shared at the event, Patel said the recognition was a collective honour for all stakeholders who have contributed to the industry’s progress. He acknowledged the support of industry bodies, partners and mentors, and reiterated his commitment to sustainable, innovation-driven and employment-oriented growth in textiles.

The ceremony was attended by senior industrialists, association office bearers and government representatives. The conference concluded on a note of appreciation, celebrating Amrishbhai Patel’s lifelong service and impact on the textile industry.
