Participants actively engaged in discussions and Rohit Kansal encouraged industry stakeholders to actively participate in BHARAT TEX 2024.
Post the BHARAT TEX 2024 roadshow, an interactive session of the textile industry leaders of Ludhiana with Rohit Kansal was well organized by Texprocil, which was largely attended by all prominent group CEOs/Chairmen. Rakesh Mehra, Chairman of CITI, also participated.
Updeep Singh, a textile industry expert, commented, “This session was a great initiative by the Ministry of Textiles, especially by Rohit Kansal. It was well-organized and attended by the who’s who of the textile industry in Ludhiana.” Singh further added, “Thrilled to witness a constructive meeting of textile industry leaders in Ludhiana with Rohit Kansal. CITI Chairman Rakesh Mehra and other industry leaders present conveyed the industry’s perspective on major issues, such as pending TUF cases, the import of fabrics from China, the impact of QCO, import duty on cotton, etc., and sought government intervention. Additionally, there was an expressed need for a comprehensive action plan to support and achieve the target of US$ 100 billion in textiles exports and an overall US$ 350 billion trade by 2030. The discussions also inspired potential collaborative efforts to propel the industry forward.”
