Mango Wins Best Business Project At Spanish Fashion Awards

Global fashion brand Mango has been awarded the Best Business Project at the second edition of the Spanish Fashion Academy Awards, hosted by the Spanish Fashion Academy Foundation (FAME) and RTVE. The recognition, voted on by over 130 representatives from across the Spanish fashion industry, celebrates Mango’s 40-year legacy as a global ambassador of Spanish fashion, promoting creativity, innovation and textile craftsmanship from Barcelona to more than 120 countries.

During the awards gala, an In Memoriam tribute honored Isak Andic, founder of Mango, acknowledging his enduring impact on Spanish fashion. The award was accepted by César de Vicente Sandoval, Mango’s Global Retail Director, who emphasized the brand’s deep roots in Spanish design: “From our Hangar Design Centre in Barcelona, we design 100% of our garments. The dream of Mango is more alive than ever, and we are convinced the best chapters are yet to be written.”

Founded in 1984 by Isak Andic, Mango has grown into one of the world’s leading fashion groups, with design and creativity at the core of its business model. Operating across five business lines: Woman, Man, Kids, Teen, and Home, the company’s creative work is centralized at its Hangar Design Centre in Barcelona, where a team of over 500 designers creates more than 18,000 garments annually.

  • True to its Mediterranean heritage, Mango blends quality, versatility and durability in each garment through a process that unites creative expression with technical excellence. The award coincides with strong business momentum: Mango reported €1.728 billion in turnover in H1 2025, reflecting 12% year-on-year growth, or 14% at constant rates.

The company continues to strengthen its brand through key initiatives under its 4E 2024–2026 Strategic Plan, particularly the Elevate pillar focused on brand aspiration, quality and sustainability. Notable highlights include capsule collections and collaborations with designer Supriya Lele and model Kaia Gerber, as well as the opening of Mango’s first physical home store in Barcelona.
