Marco Bruno Named Global R&D Head For Avgol Nonwovens

Avgol, the nonwovens business of Indorama Ventures, has appointed Marco Bruno as its new Global Head of Research and Development, a move aimed at strengthening the company’s innovation pipeline and value-chain collaboration.
Bruno brings more than two decades of experience in the textile and nonwovens industry, with expertise in high-technology textile substrates and nonwoven applications. He is also an inventor on more than 10 international patent filings related to advanced breathable functional materials and material engineering in the nonwoven sector.
In his new role, Bruno will focus on enhancing collaboration with upstream and downstream partners to ensure that innovation efforts translate into practical, high-value solutions for customers.
He will also work closely with Indorama Ventures’ global cross-business R&D teams, including those developing next-generation fibres for nonwovens and advanced surfactants for technical and personal care applications.
The company said its market-led innovation strategy will continue to prioritise solutions aligned with evolving industry trends, particularly in hygiene segments such as baby diapers, adult incontinence and feminine care products.
Avgol is also preparing to showcase its latest developments in soft nonwovens at INDEX, the international nonwovens exhibition scheduled to be held in May in Geneva, Switzerland.
