Mayer & Cie. To Showcase New Jacquard And Smart Solutions At ITMA Asia 2025

Mayer & Cie., a leading manufacturer of circular knitting and braiding machines, will participate in ITMA Asia + CITME 2025, taking place in Singapore from October 28 to 31, 2025. Visitors will find the company in Hall 5, Stand D301, where it will present its latest innovations, including the OVJA 2.4 EC II jacquard machine, new smart digital solutions, and highlights from its “Performance Line” – a range of highly efficient circular knitting machines.

Industry’s Leading Stage
ITMA Asia + CITME is the most important trade fair for textile machinery in Asia and a key global platform for innovation, sustainability and digitalization. “For us, ITMA Asia is both an opportunity to strengthen customer relationships and a door opener for new business in one of the most dynamic textile regions in the world,” said Benjamin Mayer, Managing Partner of Mayer & Cie.

OVJA 2.4 EC II: New Jacquard Machine
The OVJA 2.4 EC II will be the centerpiece of Mayer & Cie.’s exhibit. Designed in Germany and manufactured at the company’s facility in China, the machine is primarily aimed at customers in China and Southeast Asia. Featuring a new single-needle selection system, it comes with reduced cylinder height and fewer knitting elements, leading to lower energy consumption.
The machine produces fabrics for sportswear, leisurewear and home textiles such as mattress covers – delivering high performance at a competitive price point.

Circular Knitting Machines That Set Standards
Mayer & Cie.’s Performance Line comprises machines that are benchmarks in their categories:

  • D4 4.4 HPI – The world’s most productive circular knitting machine for interlock fabrics, capable of producing up to 600 kg/day.
  • OV 3.2 QCe – A top choice for double jersey structures, delivering up to 650 kg/day of fine rib 1:1 with elastomer plating.
  • Relanit 3.2 HS II & Relanit 4.0 – Leaders in single jersey production. The Relanit 4.0 delivers up to 1,700 kg/day, while the Relanit 3.2 HS II specializes in elastomeric plating with up to 970 kg/day output. Both models are renowned for energy efficiency and gentle yarn handling.

Smart Digital Solutions
Mayer & Cie. will also showcase its Control 5.0 machine control system, launched in mid-2025. Internet-ready, it is the foundation of the company’s knitlink digital platform. Available for all machines built since 2001 as an upgrade, Control 5.0 now comes as standard on every new Mayer & Cie. machine.

Another innovation is knithawk, an optical defect detection system installed directly at the knitting point. Using infrared scanning, it identifies serious or recurring errors and stops the machine, preventing waste of fabric and resources. Knithawk is available for new single jersey machines or as an upgrade kit.

120 Years of Innovation
The year 2025 marks a milestone for Mayer & Cie., which celebrated its 120th anniversary on July 8, 2025. The company’s green MCT emblem has long stood for precision, durability and reliability in circular knitting and braiding machines.

Reflecting on the anniversary, Benjamin Mayer said, “We are proud of the path we have taken – and we will continue it with innovative strength and reliability. However, the global market remains challenging, and a turnaround is not yet in sight. We are well positioned with modern processes and solutions, but no one can predict how the world situation and the economy will develop.”
