Menzel Showcases Sustainable Processing Solutions At ITMA Asia + CITME 2025

German textile machinery manufacturer Menzel showcased its full range of bleaching, washing and mercerising systems at ITMA Asia + CITME 2025, emphasizing efficiency, sustainability and process optimization for the global textile finishing industry.
Managing Director Peter Menzel explained that while the company continues to display its traditional, proven machines at the exhibition, it is also advancing toward intelligent automation.
“We are developing more advanced controls and incorporating elements of AI so that the machines can automatically manage water and chemical usage,” said Menzel. “Our goal is to make the process smarter, more sustainable and easier to operate.”
At the show, Menzel’s focus was on its bleaching range, which has become the company’s signature product. According to Milind Mehta, Director of Menzel Engineering India Pvt. Ltd., the new generation of bleaching systems can reduce water and chemical consumption by about 10–15% compared to older models.
“Customers are very satisfied with the results,” he noted. “They’re saving a lot of water and steam, and the finished product quality has significantly improved.”
Discussing broader market dynamics, Menzel observed that sustainability remains the key trend shaping the textile finishing sector.
“Especially in Europe, customers want machines with a smaller carbon footprint, reduced pollution and minimal resource usage,” Menzel said. “The focus is clearly on eco-friendly, energy-efficient technologies.”
As for expectations from ITMA Asia + CITME 2025, Menzel emphasized the importance of the event in strengthening Menzel’s presence in the region.
“We hope to meet new customers from across Asia and expand our network in the textile processing market,” he added.
With its mix of reliable technology and forward-looking innovation, Menzel continues to reinforce its position as a trusted name in sustainable textile finishing machinery.
