Messe Frankfurt Sustainability Initiative Titled Econogy
Messe Frankfurt’s Texpertise Network will realign its sustainability event formats at its around 50 textile trade fairs. The information, discussion, education and networking formats for sustainable business will now be titled ‘Econogy’.
With this step, Messe Frankfurt will create a new common identity of its international textile trade fairs, which will now focus even more strongly on sustainability as a topical issue and an increasing sales driver in the global textile industry.
“The aim is to advance the topic of sustainability in the textile and fashion industry even more strongly than before and to relate it closely to the demands of economic and social change,” Messe Frankfurt said.
According to Messe Frankfurt, the term ‘Econogy’ summarises economy and ecology in one word and shows how crucial sustainability is today for a company’s economic success as sustainability is increasingly becoming an integral part of all entrepreneurial thinking and actions.
Messe Frankfurt’s Texpertise network brings together the latest topics, trends and events relating to the textile business and brings together more than 500,000 industry participants from all over the world in more than 50 events in 11 countries.
