New Bangla Textile Minister To Boost Output Of Smart Textiles
The newly appointed Bangladesh Textile & Jute Minister Jahangir Kabir Nanak said that he is committed to advancing the manufacturing of smart textiles and also jute sector.
According to Nanak, this will be achieved through efficient planning and swift implementation of decisions taken by the ministry.
He stressed on the importance of incorporating new innovations in the jute and textile sector and modernising the jute and textile sector to realise the ‘Imagination-2041’ vision.
“Our focus is to leverage new innovations, expand investment, boost skilled human resources, generate employment opportunities all of which will help expand textile and garment exports,” he stated.
Jahangir Kabir Nanak assumed office on January 11 after taking the oath of office and has also served as State Minister of the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives earlier.
