Pakistan Textile Exports Bounce Back In October

Pakistan textile exports bounced back in October and showed year on year growth for the first time in the current year.

“Exports of textile totaled US $1.43 billion, compared to $1.36 billion registered in the same month of earlier year recording a growth of 5 percent,” Pakistan Bureau of Statistics informed.

However, in the first ten months of 2023, textile exports dropped 16 percent to $13.34 billion, down from $15.88 billion as against the same months of 2022.

In the first four months of current fiscal 2024 ending October, textile exports also declined 7 percent to $5.55 billion as against $5.94 billion in same period of previous fiscal.

Textile exports in October also grew 5 percent on a month on month basis to reach $1.36 billion, when compared with September.
