Pakistan Textile Exports Post Turnaround In December

Pakistan’s textile exports in December 2023 posted a turnaround in the declining trend and amounted to US $1.4 billion, an increase of 3 percent over $1.36 billion recorded in the same month of 2022.

According to data released by the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA), textile exports were also 6 percent higher in December over November 2023 when they stood at $1.32 billion.

However, the exports during the first six months of the current fiscal 2023-24 year were lower at $8.29 billion, a drop of 5 percent as against the same period of earlier fiscal.
