Pakistani Textile Exports Continue Downward Slide In Nov

Pakistani exports of textiles continued their downward slide where they stood at US $1.37 billion in November 2023, down 3.51 percent year on year and also down 5.43 percent month on month.

In the first five months of fiscal 2023-24 ending November 2023, textile exports from Pakistan amounted to $6.9 billion, a drop of 10.14 percent compared to same period of earlier fiscal

Of the 24 various categories of textile exports in November, only six categories showed positive growth, while the rest remained in negative territory as against that in October.

Only bed sheet exports recorded growth in November at 1.65 percent year over year to touch $236.55 million.

Within garment exports, knitwear exports dipped 12.38 percent year on year and reached $335.71 million, while woven garments fell slower at 9 percent and stood at $279.33 million.
