Pallava Group Plans Rs 1,000 Crore Man-Made Fibre Facility At PM-MITRA Park

Pallava Group has announced plans to invest Rs 1,000 crore to establish a new man-made fibre manufacturing facility at the PM-MITRA Textile Park in Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu. The proposed investment is aimed at expanding the group’s manufacturing capacity and strengthening its presence in the growing man-made fibre segment.
Spread across more than 1,000 acres, the PM-MITRA Park is being developed as an integrated textile manufacturing hub with plug-and-play infrastructure, reliable power and water supply, effluent-treatment systems, including zero-liquid-discharge facilities, worker accommodation and other supporting amenities.
The proposed facility will further expand Pallava Group’s presence across the textile value chain. The group currently manufactures viscose spun yarn and synthetic fabrics, serving domestic and international markets across more than 40 countries.
The new project is expected to focus on fibre and yarn categories such as viscose, modal and blended yarns, enabling the company to enhance production capacity and meet growing demand for versatile and performance-oriented textile materials.
With man-made fibres witnessing increasing demand across apparel, sportswear and technical textiles, the investment is expected to support both domestic requirements and export opportunities. The project is also likely to generate direct employment in manufacturing, engineering and technical operations, while creating indirect opportunities across logistics, equipment supply, maintenance and other allied services.
