Picanol Opens Training And Service Centre In Uzbekistan

Picanol has inaugurated a new training and service center in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, in collaboration with its Uzbek agent, Baror Group. The state-of-the-art facility aims to enhance service for Picanol’s customers in Central Asia. The opening ceremony coincided with CAITME 2024, the largest textile machinery exhibition in the region, providing an ideal platform to showcase the new centre to industry professionals from Uzbekistan, India, Pakistan and Tajikistan.

The event featured speeches from notable guests, including Nadira Shotursunova, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Osamov Zohidjon, Head of the Professional Education Department of the Uztekstilprom Association. Following the official ribbon-cutting ceremony, attendees were invited to explore the new training facility.

Tony Decock, Picanol Sales Manager, emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting its customers, stating, “We made the investment in this training centre because our motto is ‘Let’s grow together.’ By offering more training facilities closer to our customers in Central Asia, we are strengthening our support to them and ensuring their continued success.”

The centre is equipped with advanced weaving machines, including the OmniPlus-i Connect and the TerryMax-i Connect. Picanol’s local team of experts will provide practical training programmes for weaving technicians, covering both airjet and rapier technology for flat and terry weaving.
