Picanol Shares Sustainable Characteristics Of Weaving Machines

Belgium based advanced weaving machine manufacturer Picanol, recently got an opportunity to share its insights on the sustainable characteristics of their weaving machines.

Picanol R&D Manager, Kristof Roelstraete gave a keynote speech at the Sustainability Talks conference in Istanbul, which was hosted by Picanol customer Kipas Textiles and Orbit Consulting.

“The aim behind Sustainability Talks was to offer sustainable solutions for the textile industry and connect professionals so they can discuss the challenges faced by industry,” a Picanol press release said.

Speaking to around 1,500 participants, Kristof Roelstraete explained how their weaving machines contribute to creating a more sustainable fashion and textile industry.

He also highlighted how Picanol is really committed to its main design principle ‘Sustainability Inside’, by developing smart and energy-efficient weaving machines.

“These weaving machines are capable of weaving recycled yarns while also minimising waste, because every joule of energy, every cms of waste, and every cubic meter of compressed air counts,” Roelstraete said.
