Picanol To Premiere AirOne Airjet Weaving Machine At ITMA ASIA

Picanol will unveil its new AirOne airjet weaving machine at ITMA ASIA + CITME 2026, scheduled for November 20–24 in Shanghai. The launch extends the company’s airjet portfolio into the basic woven fabrics segment, complementing its established OmniPlus-i Connect range.
Developed through market research, R&D and field testing, AirOne features a new crank shedding motion and incorporates several proven Picanol technologies. The platform focuses on productivity, energy efficiency, digital capabilities and ease of operation.
“AirOne represents a special launch for Picanol,” said Johan Verstraete, Vice President, Weaving Machines. He added that the platform combines the company’s technological strengths while making its solutions accessible to a broader group of weaving mills.

At Hall 3, Booth F01, Picanol will demonstrate three machines: AirOne producing poplin, OmniPlus-i Connect weaving ladieswear fabrics and Supermax producing denim.
AirOne’s features include a crank shed angle adjustment system, automatic central lubrication, AirStream, EcoBoost, EcoWeft and WeavePilot. Its standard configuration also includes the BlueBox electronic platform, BlueTouch display, SUMO drive concept and PicConnect connectivity.

Picanol will showcase developments in PicConnect, its centralised digital ecosystem for weaving operations. New AI-powered applications are designed to support performance optimisation, operational efficiency and decision-making, alongside tools for machine monitoring and weave-room management.
Five additional Supermax machines will operate at partner booths across the exhibition, demonstrating applications in sarees, denim, shoe fabrics and labels. The displays will highlight the machine’s versatility across different weaving segments.
