Recover Expands Global Footprint With New Recycling Facility In Vietnam

Recover, a global leader in recycled cotton fibre and cotton fibre blends, has announced the opening of its newest manufacturing facility in Vietnam’s Dong Nai province, a strategic move in its global expansion strategy. The state-of-the-art factory is slated to begin operations by early 2025, positioning Recover to significantly contribute to sustainable practices in Vietnam’s growing textile production sector.
As the world’s third-largest textile exporter, Vietnam plays a pivotal role in the industry. The location of the facility ensures proximity to textile waste sorting and manufacturing operations, reducing logistical costs and environmental impacts. This approach underscores Recover’s commitment to providing major textile markets with timely, sustainable material solutions.
The 14,000-square-metre factory will feature Recover’s advanced recycling technology and launch with two cutting-edge recycling lines, offering an annual production capacity of 10,000 metric tonnes. A dedicated laboratory will ensure consistent quality and drive innovation across products and processes.
A highlight of the facility’s output will be RMix, Recover’s groundbreaking solution for recycling cotton-polyester blends. This process eliminates fibre separation, addressing a longstanding industry challenge and delivering energy-efficient, sustainable advantages.
“Our Vietnam expansion is a crucial milestone,” said Anders Sjöblom, CEO of Recover. “By introducing circularity to a key textile hub, we’re advancing our global manufacturing footprint while driving a sustainable shift in the Vietnamese textile industry.”
Following its expansion into Bangladesh in 2022, this new facility exemplifies Recover’s vision to meet rising global demand for recycled materials, solidifying its reputation for sustainability and technological innovation.
