Rieter Names Emmanuelle Gmür As CHRO And Executive Committee Member
The Board of Directors of Rieter Holding Ltd. has announced the appointment of Emmanuelle Gmür as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and Member of the Group Executive Committee, effective January 1, 2025. Gmür succeeds Tom Ban, who is pursuing opportunities outside Rieter.
Gmür brings extensive international experience in human resources, strategic leadership, organizational development, and change management, along with deep knowledge of the textile industry. Her proven track record includes leadership roles in major global organizations.
From 2013 to 2024, Gmür served as CHRO, Global Head of Communication, and a member of the Global Management Board at the Triumph Group, based in Bad Zurzach, Switzerland. She also held Supervisory Board positions at Triumph France SA and Triumph Austria AG, serving as deputy chairwoman of the latter. Earlier roles include Global Head of Learning and Development at Triumph Group, Head of Consulting at Qualintra SA, and various leadership and consulting roles at British Telecom in London, UK.
Thomas Oetterli, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of the Rieter Group, expressed confidence in her appointment, stating, “Emmanuelle Gmür’s extensive expertise in human resources management and her leadership capabilities will significantly enhance Rieter’s HR functions. Her strategic insights and business acumen will be invaluable as the Group Executive Committee executes its new strategy.”
Gmür holds a Core MBA from the Helsinki University of Technology, Finland, and a Master of Science in Business from École Supérieure de Commerce de Reims, France. Born in 1976, she is a French citizen.
Her appointment marks a strategic step in strengthening Rieter’s leadership team as the company continues to drive innovation and organizational excellence.
