Sanathan Textiles showcased its strengthened technical textiles portfolio at Techtextil India 2025, held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, underscoring its growing capabilities, expanded manufacturing infrastructure and focus on advanced materials for emerging applications.

At the exhibition, the company presented a wide range of specialised yarns used in construction textiles, automotive fabrics, luggage materials, industrial nets, safety slings and other high-performance technical applications. In the fast-growing sports-tech category, Sanathan introduced innovative moisture-management, dry-cool, self-stretch and eco-friendly coloured yarns designed for sportswear, gym wear, athleisure and performance apparel, showcasing its emphasis on sustainability and functional innovation.

During the event, Sammir Dattani, Executive Director, Sanathan Textiles, participated in the GenNext panel discussion on Prospects & Potential for Technical Textiles Exports hosted by the Manmade and Technical Textiles Export Promotion Council (MATEXIL). The session brought together rising leaders from across India’s technical textile ecosystem to explore export potential, supply-chain efficiencies and the innovation shift driving global demand.

Joining Dattani on the panel were Kanav Jhunjhunwala of Sarla Performance Fibers Ltd, Gautam Dalmia of Strata Geosystems India Pvt. Ltd., Rahul Bajaj of Khosla Profil Pvt. Ltd., and Anish Jiwarajka of Jiwarajka Textile Industries. Together, they discussed the rapid growth of segments such as geotextiles, protective textiles, mobility solutions, filtration, medical textiles and industrial fabrics.

The panellists highlighted that while India has established a strong manufacturing base, achieving export-driven growth will require greater product innovation, deeper specialization, stronger branding and faster adoption of advanced technologies. Sustainability emerged as a critical priority, with growing global demand for recycled, low-impact and high-performance technical textile solutions.

Dattani emphasised the responsibility of young industry leaders in steering this transformation stating, “India’s technical textiles sector stands at an inflection point. As next-generation leaders, our responsibility is to shape an industry that is globally competitive, innovation-first and deeply rooted in sustainability. The future will belong to companies that invest in advanced materials, integrated supply chains and responsible manufacturing practices.”

With India positioning technical textiles as a key export driver, the GenNext panel delivered a clear message, the sector’s emerging leadership is aligned, confident and ready to drive India’s ascent as a global innovation hub in technical textiles.
