Samson Partners With Applied Fiber To Enhance Synthetic Rope Solutions

Samson, a leading developer of high-performance synthetic rope solutions and services, has announced a new partnership with Applied Fiber. Samson will receive an industrial licence for Applied Fiber’s industry-leading end fitting technology. This collaboration will enable users to expand their operational capabilities by combining Samson’s expertise in synthetic rope design and production with Applied Fiber’s proprietary termination solutions, allowing for fibre rope use in previously incompatible systems and increasing opportunities for existing applications.

This technology provides high-efficiency termination of synthetic rope with attachments similar to steel wire rope fittings, but at a more compact size than traditional eye splices. Samson is eager to install the production equipment and initiate training at its Ferndale, WA, facility. In the meantime, Samson will continue to support end-user needs for these termination solutions through its partnership with Applied Fiber’s facility in Havana, FL.

“Bringing this advanced termination technology to our operations will optimize performance for users familiar with synthetic ropes or those transitioning from steel wire,” said Dustin Heins, Samson’s Product Manager for Innovation.

Richard Campbell, CEO of Applied Fiber, added, “Our collaboration with Samson, a forward-thinking leader in rope technology, will push the boundaries of synthetic fibre rope performance.”
