Sanathan Textiles To Double Technical Textile Yarn Capacity At Silvassa

Sanathan Textiles is set to double its technical textile yarn manufacturing capacity at its Silvassa facility from 9,000 tonnes per annum (MTPA) to 18,000 MTPA, with the expansion now in its final phase.

The company said civil works for the expansion have been completed and the required plant and machinery has been installed. Commercial commissioning and the start of production are expected in August 2026.

The additional capacity is expected to strengthen Sanathan Textiles’ integrated manufacturing platform and enhance its ability to respond to evolving market requirements.

Technical textile yarns manufactured by the company are used across a range of applications, including automotive, agriculture, defence, infrastructure, roads and railways, sportswear, healthcare and industrial safety. They are also used in protective applications such as fire-retardant clothing.

The capacity expansion is expected to support Sanathan Textiles’ participation in the growth of India’s technical textiles sector and the wider textile value chain.
