SCZONE, Infinity Fabric Launch US$ 15M Textile Project In Sokhna

The General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) has signed a US$ 15 million contract with Infinity Fabric to establish a yarn and textile manufacturing facility in the Sokhna Industrial Zone, according to an official statement.
The project will occupy 24,000 square metres within SCZONE’s development arm, Main Development Company (MDC), and will be implemented in two phases, US$ 10 million for the first phase and US$ 5 million for the second, which includes production expansions.
The facility is expected to begin operations in the third quarter of 2026, creating around 1,000 direct jobs and delivering an annual capacity of 6,000 tonnes of yarn and 15,000 tonnes of fabrics.
SCZONE Chairman Waleid Gamal El-Dien said the project aligns with the zone’s strategy to localize value chains and strengthen Egypt’s textile sector. “Textile manufacturing remains one of Egypt’s most labour-intensive and value-adding industries, covering spinning, weaving, dyeing and design,” he noted.
He added that Sokhna’s strategic location and proximity to Sokhna Port provide logistical advantages, making it an ideal hub for industrial investment and integration into global value chains.
