Sintex BAPL To Establish Rs 350 Crore Manufacturing Unit In Telangana
Sintex BAPL Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Welspun Corp Limited, has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Telangana government, signaling its intent to invest Rs 350 crore in establishing a cutting-edge manufacturing unit in the state. The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Telangana Industries Minister K. T. Rama Rao and B K Goenka, Chairman of Welspun World.
This ambitious project is poised to create 1,000 jobs in the Telangana region, made possible through the state government’s incentive scheme. Sintex BAPL will focus on manufacturing water tanks and pipes as part of its expansion plans. Notably, this move allows Sintex, a nationally recognized brand, to diversify into the pipes business. The project encompasses a range of PVC pipes and fittings.
The total investment of Rs 350 crore will be disbursed over the course of the next three financial years. Welspun World Chairman B K Goenka, expressed the group’s commitment to Telangana’s growth and highlighted the successful operations they have maintained in the state over the years. This project not only bolsters employment opportunities in Telangana but also strengthens Sintex’s presence in the building materials sector.
