Song Hong Garment Initiates Mega Factory With Investment Of Over VND700 Billion
Song Hong Garment Company marked its 35th anniversary with the initiation of the Song Hong-Xuan Truong 2 factory in Nam Dinh Province at the end of November 2023. Representing a significant addition to Vietnam’s textile and apparel sector, the sprawling 9.6-hectare facility encompasses three workshops, a warehouse, a cutting workshop, an office building and green spaces.
The factory, slated for completion by the end of 2024, boasts 50 export sewing lines and a diverse product range, spanning clothes, dresses, jackets, and more. With a hefty investment exceeding VND700 billion, the project aims to propel Song Hong Garment Company’s revenue to VND6,500-7 trillion.
Upon operationalization, the factory is expected to generate employment for around 3,000 individuals, bolstering the company’s total workforce to 15,000. Bui Duc Thinh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Song Hong Garment, views these expansions as strategic investments in anticipation of market recovery in the coming years.
As Vietnam’s textile and apparel industry navigates challenging times, Song Hong Garment’s proactive approach, coupled with the inauguration of new factories, positions the company favourably to capitalize on potential upticks in orders in the foreseeable future.
