Speciality Chemicals Producer Evonik Opens India Research Hub
German manufacturer of specialty chemicals Evonik inaugurated its new office and R&D premises in Thane, India.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Mumbai, Evonik global management representatives, and members from the Evonik India team.
The Evonik India Research Hub (EIRH) marks a significant milestone in Evonik’s development journey in India and will be dedicated to advancing solutions that contribute to sustainability.
Evonik India’s new office spans an area of 100,000 square feet and features state-of-the-art labs for its existing business lines, which cater to several industries.
The new headquarters includes collaborative workspaces, advanced technology infrastructure, and up-to-date amenities intended to enhance productivity, efficiency, and employee well-being.
It will serve as a hub for Evonik’s operations in India, providing a dynamic and inspiring environment for employees to collaborate, innovate, and drive growth.
Evonik currently employs approximately 850 employees in India in its three entities. With the opening of EIRH, it is planning to create more jobs for its new labs and related operations.
“The office will not only facilitate greater collaboration among our team but will also enable us to meet the evolving needs of our customers and partners,” Evonik India MD Vinod Paremal said.
