Spinnova And Rieter Publish Industrial Yarn Spinning Guideline For Spinnova Fibre

Spinnova and Rieter have released a comprehensive yarn spinning guideline for industrial partners, detailing the production of compact yarn from Spinnova fibre using Rieter’s advanced machinery. The step-by-step guide highlights key considerations at every stage of the spinning process and is available upon request to industrial users.
The collaboration between Spinnova and Rieter, which reached a milestone in 2023 when Rieter equipped Spinnova’s R&D spinning line with its state-of-the-art machinery, including the ring spinning machine G 38 with COMPACTdrum and the rotor spinning machine R 70, has been pivotal in developing yarns for Spinnova blends. The guideline represents a significant step toward industrial scalability and efficient handling of Spinnova fibre.
Franziska Häfeli, Head of Sales and Marketing, Machines and Systems Division at Rieter, said, “We are proud to support the industrialisation of Spinnova fibre with our proven spinning technology. This guideline reflects our shared commitment to innovation and sustainability in the textile industry.”
Shahriare Mahmood, Chief Product and Sustainability Officer at Spinnova, added, “Having clear, written instructions on spinning yarn with our fibres not only eases our partners’ workflow but also demonstrates valuable endorsement from the leading name in yarn spinning systems. We are pleased to offer this guideline with Rieter and support our partners’ success.”
By combining Spinnova’s fibre innovation with Rieter’s spinning expertise, the partnership aims to lower the barrier for industrial adoption of sustainable Spinnova fibre in commercial production.
