SRTEPC To Introduce Technical Textiles Dashboard Amid Export Challenges
The Synthetic and Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC) has announced plans to launch a technical textiles dashboard in the near future. Bhadresh Dodhia, Chairman of the council, said that this dashboard will provide valuable insights, including information on technical textile products experiencing increasing demand, countries leading in the export of each product and countries importing various technical textile products.
Currently, the United States, Japan and several West Asian countries are significant buyers of package textile products from India, which is a major driver of technical textile exports. Dodhia reported a 6% growth in technical textile product exports this year.
However, there is an expected decline of 8-10% in exports of man-made fibres and fabrics, excluding garments, for this fiscal year. Dodhia attributed this decline primarily to shifting global consumption patterns.
