SRTX Achieves Vertical Integration Milestone With Expanded 300,000 Sq. Ft. Facility
SRTX, renowned for its patent-pending Sheertex Rip-Resist knit, has inaugurated its new 300,000 sq. ft. global headquarters, doubling its previous facility. Founded in 2017 by Katherine Homuth, SRTX focuses on durable, sustainable textiles. The expansion enables full vertical integration, overseeing production, including in-house extrusion of Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE). This extends Sheertex’s unbreakable technology to apparel, revolutionizing the industry with stronger, lighter, hydrophobic garments. SRTX, a B-corp certified company, emphasizes social and environmental responsibility, creating a world-class production hub in Montreal.
SRTX’s new headquarters has generated 100 jobs, with plans for 500 in the coming years, contributing to local and global growth. Katherine Homuth emphasizes the commitment to bring manufacturing back to North America through vertical integration and automation. The expansion aligns with sustainability goals, incorporating eco-conscious practices in all operations.
