TANA BANA’s Third Textile Series Highlights Government Subsidies
The Institute of Engineers organized the 3rd edition of the Mega Textile Series TANA BANA at the Institution of Engineers. This prestigious event aims to bolster the textile industry at the grassroots level, providing a platform for textile entrepreneurs to learn and discuss techno-commercial topics impacting profitability and productivity. It also facilitates connections between textile entrepreneurs and leading professionals and leaders in the textile industry.
The program commenced with a welcome speech by Dr. Shivanand Suryavanshi, Chairman of IEI Surat, followed by an address by Er Subhash J Ghelani, Chairman of the Gujarat State Centre of IEI. Dr. Hitesh Jariwala, Deputy Director of MANTRA, elaborated on the inception of the series. CA Shri Meherzad Turel, Zonal Business Manager of Working Capital for Gujarat, MP, and Chhattisgarh at Kotak Bank, explained various financing options available to entrepreneurs for business growth. During the program, Dr. K. D. Panchal, past Honorary Secretary of the Institute of Engineers, was felicitated for completing his doctorate successfully.
Distinguished guests gracing the dais included Sanjay Sharma, VP at Garden Silk Mills Pvt. Ltd., Neeraj Shah, Honorary Secretary at the Gujarat State Center of IEI, and Nitin Oza, President of SMA. The proceedings were conducted by Er Sandeep Dangi, Honorary Secretary of IEI, Surat.
The keynote speaker, Vinay Banthia, Business Head of South Gujarat Region at Banthia Consultancy, emphasized the importance of government subsidies in fostering business growth. He highlighted how these subsidies provide essential financial support for both startups and established companies, reducing costs, enhancing competitiveness, and enabling exploration of new markets. Banthia Consultancy is renowned for its expertise in navigating the complexities of government subsidies, making them accessible and understandable for businesses. Banthia also detailed sector-specific subsidies and incentives available, including various limits and caps.
Engineer Sandeep Dangi delivered the vote of thanks, promising the audience many more such illustrative seminars in the future. The meeting concluded with the National Anthem.
