Textiles Minister Reviews Progress Of PM MITRA Parks

The Minister of Textiles chaired a review meeting on 4 December 2025 to assess the progress and upcoming milestones of the PM MITRA Parks initiative. Senior officials from the ministry and state governments were present during the session.

During the meeting, officials presented updates on the implementation of the parks. External infrastructure works worth Rs 1,862.24 crore have been approved, with Rs 564.72 crore spent so far. A total of 1,360 acres of land has been allotted, and investment interest amounting to Rs 42,491 crore has been secured. Internal infrastructure works worth Rs 1,444.50 crore are currently underway. Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) have been finalised, incorporating global standards and Industry 4.0 features.

The Ministry of Textiles has released Rs 160 crore as DCS grants to the states to support the development of the parks. Key Public-Private Partnership (PPP) documents, including DPRs, DCAs, and RFPs, have been vetted and submitted to the PPPAC and DEA for appraisal to select Master Developers for parks in Gujarat, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh. NPG appraisals have been completed for Tamil Nadu and Madhya Pradesh, while assessments in other states are in progress.

Land allotment applications are currently live for Dhar in Madhya Pradesh, and Expressions of Interest (EOIs) have been invited for parks in Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra. The foundation stone for the PM MITRA Park in Madhya Pradesh has also been laid.
