Trützschler, Texnology Partner With O.R.V. To Install Europe’s Largest Nonwoven Line
Trützschler Nonwovens and Texnology S.r.l. have secured an order from O.R.V. Manufacturing S.p.A. to deliver a state-of-the-art production line for needle-punched and thermo-bonded polyester media. The new line, which will cater to applications such as filtration media, is set to become one of Europe’s largest multi-purpose plants. This collaboration between the three family-owned companies marks a significant step forward for the nonwovens industry, with O.R.V. Manufacturing, a leader in the production of nonwoven fabrics and polyester wadding, at the helm.
O.R.V. Manufacturing, part of the Peruzzo Productions Group, has a rich 75-year history in producing nonwoven products for a variety of sectors, including clothing, furnishings, filtration and automotive applications. Their production sites in northern Italy, particularly in Carmignano di Brenta and Grantorto, are leading the way in innovative manufacturing processes. “We are thrilled to partner with Trützschler Nonwovens and Texnology, two companies that share our family-owned values, to bring this major project to life,” said Gabriele Zanella, CEO of O.R.V. Manufacturing.
The collaboration was officially celebrated on October 1st, with key figures from all three companies attending the event. Charlotte Fontaine, a member of the Trützschler Group’s shareholder’s committee, joined Nicola Olivo, co-owner of Texnology, along with Peruzzo Productions Group shareholders, Massimiliano and Cristina Giacobbo Peruzzo. Speaking at the event, Fontaine highlighted the significance of the partnership: “This installation represents not only a technological advancement but also embodies the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship. Together with Texnology and O.R.V. Manufacturing, we will set new industry standards.”
The project’s roots can be traced back to an inspiring customer event held at the Nonwoven Customer and Technology Center (NCTC) earlier this year, where nonwovens ranging from 35 to 1400 grams per square metre (gsm) were showcased. This event led to joint product development days, solidifying the shared vision of the companies. Oliver Döring, Director Sales & Marketing at Trützschler Nonwovens, emphasized the importance of nonwovens in filtration applications, stating, “T-SUPREMA serves a wide range of applications, particularly in air and liquid filtration, which play a significant role in environmental protection.”
Following initial trials at the NCTC in Egelsbach, Germany, in May, O.R.V. Manufacturing was convinced of the line’s versatility and high-performance capabilities. Nicola Olivo of Texnology echoed this sentiment, adding, “We aim to set new industry standards while focusing on environmentally conscious solutions. Our partnership leverages the unique strengths of each company to create high-quality, sustainable products.”
With this new production line, O.R.V. Manufacturing is poised to lead the charge in nonwoven innovations, pushing the boundaries of quality and efficiency in Europe.
