Tynor Orthotics Launches Rs 300-Crore Textile Manufacturing Unit In Mohali

Punjab’s Minister for Industries, IT and Labour, Tarunpreet Singh Sond, inaugurated a state-of-the-art textile manufacturing unit set up by Tynor Orthotics in Mohali. Named Ortech Textiles, the facility represents a Rs 300-crore investment and spans six acres. It has been established to meet the complete raw material requirements of Tynor Orthotics, a leading manufacturer of orthopaedic aids.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by MLA Kulwant Singh, Tynor Orthotics Managing Director Dr. P. J. Singh, and Executive Director A. J. Singh, alongside senior government and industry representatives.

Minister Sond lauded the Tynor Group for its commitment to industrial development and innovation in Punjab. “Over the past eight months, we have introduced significant reforms in the industrial sector, including the launch of the Invest Punjab fast-track portal, which ensures that all approvals are granted within 45 days,” he said.

Dr. P. J. Singh highlighted the strategic importance of the new unit. “Ortech Textiles marks a major move towards self-reliance by reducing our dependency on imported raw materials, particularly from China,” he said.

Executive Director A. J. Singh shared the company’s employment expansion plans, stating, “With the launch of Ortech Textiles, Tynor Group aims to double its workforce from 2,500 to 5,000. The new unit alone will generate 1,000 new jobs.”

The facility is expected to strengthen Tynor’s supply chain, support local manufacturing, and contribute significantly to Punjab’s industrial and employment landscape.
