UP Apparel Park Sees Interest From 70 More Investors
70 more industrial units have sought plots from the Uttar Pradesh government in the Apparel Park Cluster, being set up by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA).
“These 70 new investors are in addition to 81 of the 89 plots that YEIDA has already allotted to investors,” media reports stated.
The Uttar Pradesh government is setting up the Apparel Park Cluster as part of its drive to develop industrial areas in the form of clusters in the state and this cluster will be the first to be established.
The Apparel Park Cluster is being set up on 175 acres and there are 89 plots out of which 81 plots have been allotted and lease plans and checklist of 64 plots have been issued.
A convention centre, exhibition centre and dedicated cargo facilities will be established in the YEIDA’s industrial area.
Dedicated cargo facilities will also be developed at the under construction Noida International Airport in Jewar.
“Work has been started by the National Highways Authority of India to connect the Apparel Park near Ballabgarh with the Delhi-Noida expressway,” YEIDA CEO Dr. Arun Vir Singh said.
“The country’s first and the world’s sixth pod taxi system will be built, for which a global tender has also been issued by the YEIDA,” he added
In order to promote industries, YEIDA has taken a decision to increase the floor area ratio (FAR) on industrial plots in Yamuna authority area from 1.5 to 2.0. Additionally, ground coverage in industrial plots will be hiked to 60 percent.
