Uzbek Textile & Apparel Exports Grow 14.4% In January

Textile and apparel exports from Uzbekistan grew 14.4 percent from a year period to US $250.2 million in January 2024.

Of this, exports of yarns were $121.4 million, finished textile goods were $93.6 million, knitted fabrics stood at $18 million, fabrics amounted to $13.7 million and hosiery was $3.5 million.

Exports of yarn accounted for 48.5 percent of overall textile and garment exports in January followed by clothing with 37.4 percent and knitted fabrics at 7.2 percent.

“The country exported around 430 types of various textile products to 48 countries around the world in January,” data from the Uzbekistan Statistics agency stated.

To support textile exports, the Uzbek government has allocated $150 million to help and support manufacturers in 2024.
