Vandewiele Expands Cooperation With Uzbek Carpet Weaving Sector

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Gayrat Fazilov, recently visited the Vandewiele Group office to enhance the existing collaboration between Vandewiele Group and Uzbekistan’s carpet weaving industry.

The discussions explored opportunities for establishing new, mutually beneficial partnerships across diverse fields aligned with Vandewiele’s scope of activities.

“Fazilov held discussions with the company’s Vice President, Thomas Beauduin and other senior officials of the Belgian based company,” Kun reported.

The Vandewiele Group has been a presence in the Uzbek market since 2003, providing carpet weaving machinery and other specialised technical equipment.

To date, the company has successfully installed over 300 looms and has forged strong commercial ties with over 20 key buyers from the regions of Samarkand, Bukhara, Jizzakh, Navoi, and Tashkent.

In 2023, Vandewiele further cemented its local commitment by inaugurating a regional center in Samarkand.

This center not only offers maintenance services for Vandewiele’s range of machinery but also serves as a spare parts depot for the company’s equipment.

Additionally, it is a training hub, offering professional development courses to specialists across the Central Asian region.
