VDMA To Bring 70 Exhibitors To ITMA Asia 2025

Around 70 VDMA member companies will participate in ITMA Asia + CITME 2025, to be held in Singapore at the end of October. Exhibitors will represent nearly all segments of the textile value chain, including spinning and man-made fibres, nonwovens, weaving, braiding, knitting & warp knitting, finishing & dyeing, as well as textile recycling technologies.

VDMA has organized a German Pavilion featuring two group stands – spinning (Hall 4) and finishing (Hall 7) – with a total of 30 exhibitors.

“The main topics of our members are efficiency, automation, digitalisation and sustainability,” said Dr. Janpeter Horn, Chairman of the VDMA Textile Machinery Association and Managing Director of August Herzog Maschinenfabrik. “Even in challenging times, customers can rely on VDMA members as dependable partners who deliver continuity, reliability, and long-term support – this is what we mean by our common slogan, ‘Experience Leading Technology’.”

Dr. Harald Weber, Managing Director of VDMA Textile Machinery, emphasized Singapore’s importance, “We are excited to return to Singapore with ITMA Asia after 20 years. Its central location and excellent travel connections make it the perfect hub for reaching customers from one of the fastest-growing textile and garment production regions worldwide.”

Asia Remains Strategic Growth Market
Asia continues to be the world’s leading textile and clothing production hub, and nearly half of German textile machinery exports are shipped to the region. Many German companies also operate local production sites in China, India and Vietnam.

Although exports to Asia declined sharply in 2024, they stabilized in the first half of 2025, with deliveries to China, Uzbekistan and Pakistan showing encouraging growth. Industry experts view this as a potential sign of a broader recovery in global machinery demand.
