VIATT 2025 Features Products & Solutions Across Textile & Garment Supply Chain

The Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT 2025) opened at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre in Ho Chi Minh City on February 26 and provided a hub for suppliers and buyers across the textile value chain to explore collaboration opportunities.
Organised by the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the fair’s second edition attracted over 400 exhibitors from 24 countries and regions. National and regional pavilions represented India, Japan, Republic of Korea, Pakistan, Taiwan (China), and Thailand, along with a new European pavilion.
Running until February 28, the event showcased more than 500 booths featuring a wide range of products and solutions across the textile and garment supply chain. These included fabrics, garment accessories, yarns, fibres, garments, home textiles, technical textiles, nonwovens, textile machinery, solutions, and certification services.
A key highlight was the Vietnam National Brand Pavilion, which offered local firms an ideal venue to promote their products, establish partnerships and demonstrate leadership in the textile and garment sector. In addition, the fair introduced an Ecology Hub—a dedicated platform for eco-friendly suppliers and service providers—and the Innovation & Digital Solutions Zone, which showcased cutting-edge innovations designed to boost manufacturing efficiency and address specific market demands.
The event also featured fashion shows, seminars and workshops on its sidelines. During the opening ceremony, Vice Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thị Thắng highlighted the significant strides made by the textile and garment industry in recent years, noting its growing importance in the country’s economic growth. The sector accounted for 12–16 per cent of Việtnam’s total export turnover, with textile and garment exports reaching nearly US$ 44 billion last year—a rise of 11.3 per cent over 2023.
Looking ahead, industry leaders were optimistic about both global and domestic markets. With benefits from 17 new-generation Free Trade Agreements, the textile and garment sector set an export target of US$48 billion for the year to reinforce Việtnam’s position in the global supply chain. To achieve this target, the industry focused on developing a large-scale, fully integrated production chain; investing in modern, highly automated equipment; adopting digital transformation; implementing real-time automated management; and promoting green, clean, and environmentally friendly production practices.
Strong participation from businesses in Europe and Asia further enhanced opportunities for Vietnamese companies to connect with international textile and garment enterprises, engage in global production chains, and establish seamless linkages from raw materials to final products. The fair also served as a platform that encouraged major global brands to transfer technology and management expertise while contributing to the sustainable growth of Việtnam’s garment and textile industry.
Wendy Wen, managing director of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, highlighted Việtnam’s emergence as a key player in the global textile landscape and a top apparel exporter, positioning the country as an attractive production hub for manufacturers and fashion brands seeking to diversify their supply chains.
