Vinted Teams Up With Oxfam And Jameela Jamil To Celebrate Second-Hand Fashion

As part of this year’s Second Hand September, Vinted has partnered with Oxfam and actor-activist Jameela Jamil to put pre-loved fashion in the spotlight. Jameela, the face of the campaign, will sell signature pieces from her personal wardrobe on Vinted, with all proceeds supporting Oxfam. Items from the Vinted and Oxfam Style for Change runway show will also be available to purchase on the platform.

The Style for Change show, opening London Fashion Week on 18 September, celebrates iconic styles from Zoot Suits and Teddy Girls to Punk, Flower Power, and Statement Tees, all sourced from Vinted and Oxfam shops. Thrift pioneer Bay Garnett will style the runway, featuring celebrity participants including musician Sam Ryder, broadcaster Katie Piper, and model-activist Munroe Bergdorf. All show items will be available for purchase through Oxfam’s Vinted wardrobe from 22 September.

Jameela Jamil said: “I’ve been a proud second-hand shopper for years. Selling pieces from my wardrobe gives them a second life and supports Oxfam’s important work worldwide. Fashion isn’t about how new an item is—it’s about how it makes you feel.”

Jessie de la Merced, Vinted VP Corporate Affairs, added: “This collaboration celebrates pre-loved fashion and shows what’s possible when leaders in the second-hand space unite. With Jameela making pieces from her wardrobe available on Vinted to support Oxfam, we’re proving that second-hand isn’t just stylish, it’s a force for good.”

Lorna Fallon, Oxfam Retail Director, said: “Second-hand fashion allows people to make a statement about the world they want to live in. By partnering with Vinted, we’re showing that looking good and doing good can go hand in hand, while raising vital funds to tackle poverty and inequality.”

Mary Creagh, Circular Economy Minister, highlighted the broader impact: “Ending our throwaway culture requires action by government, businesses and the public. Partnerships like Vinted and Oxfam give shoppers the chance to embrace pre-loved fashion while protecting the planet.”

This is the second year Vinted and Oxfam have joined forces on the Style for Change initiative, reinforcing their shared mission to champion second-hand fashion as the future of style.
