Wacker Chemie AG Opens Modern HQ In Munich’s Werksviertel

Wacker Chemie AG unveiled its new Munich headquarters in the Werksviertel District, designed by C.F. Møller, boasting sustainable technologies across its 18,000 square meters. Housing 600 employees over five floors, WACKER House fosters a modern, flexible workspace with open layouts and innovative design elements to spur creativity and collaboration. CEO Christian Hartel emphasized the building’s role in driving innovation and entrepreneurial success, marking a new era for the company in Munich after over a century.

Bavaria’s Governor Markus Söder highlighted the significance of the chemical industry for the region’s economy and praised WACKER’s commitment to innovation. Munich’s Labor and Economic Affairs representative Clemens Baumgärtner echoed the sentiment, underscoring WACKER’s longstanding partnership with the city and its strategic move to the dynamic Werksviertel.

The building meets stringent sustainability criteria with features like a transparent facade for natural light, district heating, and rainwater retention systems. It aims for LEED platinum certification, reflecting WACKER’s environmental stewardship. The project, led by Patrizia and supported by WACKER products, signifies a milestone in Munich’s architectural and industrial landscape.
