Welspun Living Q1 Revenue At Rs 2,289 Cr, Domestic Sales Up 9.5%

Welspun Living Ltd (WLL), a global home textiles leader and part of the $3.6 billion Welspun Group, reported a total income of Rs 2,289 crore for Q1 FY26, registering an 11.6% year-on-year decline. The drop was largely attributed to tariff-related headwinds and cautious buying patterns by global retailers, which affected export performance.
However, the company’s domestic business showed resilience, posting a strong 9.5% YoY growth. This was driven by a 2.5% growth in domestic home textiles and a robust 26% increase in domestic flooring revenues, reinforcing Welspun’s growing footprint in India.
EBITDA for the quarter stood at Rs 254 crore, translating to a margin of 11.1%, down from 15.2% in the same period last year, impacted by operating deleverage. Profit after tax declined by 52.8% to Rs 88 crore. The company, however, continued to strengthen its balance sheet, with net debt reduced to Rs 1,401 crore from Rs 1,562 crore a year ago.
Managing Director & CEO Dipali Goenka said, “While macro headwinds affected export momentum, our domestic performance remained strong. We’re focused on agility, cost optimization and building emerging businesses that drive future growth.”
Segment-wise, the Home Textiles division contributed 91.6% of the revenue but saw an 11.1% YoY decline. Flooring contributed 8.4%, with revenues of Rs 193 crore and improved EBITDA margins of 8.4%. The Advanced Textiles division also saw a decline of 11.6%. Utilization across key manufacturing verticals saw mixed performance with bath linen at 88%, bed linen at 67%, and rugs and carpets at 81%. Flooring utilization, however, dropped to 43% from 64% in Q1 FY25. In the U.S., pillow manufacturing utilization reached 47%, up from 31% in the previous quarter.
On the sustainability front, Welspun continued to make notable progress toward its 2030 ESG goals. The company used 90% sustainable cotton, achieved 22% renewable energy usage, and recycled over 965 million litres of water during the quarter. Its community outreach impacted more than 1.03 lakh students and over 25,000 individuals through health initiatives.
