Yarn Expo 2025 Closes With Rs 1,000 Cr Business Leads

The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (SGCCI) Yarn Expo 2025 concluded on a high note, attracting over 24,884 buyers from more than 100 Indian cities and international markets including Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and Bangladesh. The three-day event, held at Sarsana from August 1–3, generated business leads estimated at Rs 1,000 crore for the next six months.
The expo featured 85 leading yarn manufacturers from across India, presenting more than 100 varieties of innovative yarns including biodegradable, anti-microbial, moisture-wicking, recycled polyester, and fire-retardant options. The showcase highlighted the industry’s growing shift toward sustainable and performance-oriented textiles.
“The response has been phenomenal. Exhibitors are anticipating over 20% business growth this season, especially due to strong interest from buyers outside Gujarat,” said Nikhil Madrasi, President of SGCCI.
He noted that Yarn Expo 2025 opened new avenues not just for traditional fabric makers, but also for functional textiles used in sportswear, exports, and sustainable garments.
Daily footfall numbers reflected the momentum: 6,128 buyers on Day 1, 8,602 on Day 2, and 10,154 on the final day. Garment manufacturers, retailers, and textile traders actively engaged with exhibitors, many placing bulk orders or requesting samples for future collaborations.
Exhibitors reported high interest from key garment hubs such as Delhi, Ludhiana, Mumbai, and Tirupur, while international buyer interest, particularly from Europe and Bangladesh, added to the expo’s global significance.
“We’ve already received inquiries for long-term contracts and exports. This expo has opened new markets for us,” shared a yarn manufacturer from Ludhiana.
The overwhelming success has prompted several exhibitors to express interest in advance bookings for Yarn Expo 2026.
In an era defined by sustainability and innovation, Yarn Expo 2025 has cemented Surat’s position as a hub for next-generation textiles, connecting Indian manufacturers with global demand for high-performance, eco-friendly fabrics.
