Textiles Minister Reviews PLI Scheme Progress

Union Minister of Textiles, Giriraj Singh met the beneficiaries of the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for MMF apparel, fabrics, and technical textiles on 20th August in New Delhi. The participants shared their ongoing commitment, successes, experiences, feedback, and challenges related to the scheme.

Giriraj Singh confirmed the Government’s dedication to fostering growth and innovation within the textile sector. Discussions also covered future strategies and enhancements to further strengthen the scheme’s effectiveness.

The Minister commended the participants for their active involvement and contributions, stating, “The feedback and ideas shared during this session are invaluable. Our continued success in the textile sector relies on collaborative efforts and open communication. I am encouraged by the dedication of PLI Scheme participants and their commitment to advancing our industry.”

He assured the participants of the Ministry’s continued support and urged them to expedite their investments. The beneficiary companies expressed their gratitude to the Union Minister for the opportunity to share their views and suggestions for achieving the sector’s vision.
