Monforts Installs Baldwin TexCoat G4 At Advanced Technology Centre

Monforts has completed the installation of a Baldwin TexCoat G4 digital spray unit at its Advanced Technology Centre (ATC) in Mönchengladbach, Germany. The system has been successfully integrated into one of the two full-size Montex stenter lines and is now available for customer trials, enabling the use of advanced sustainable finishing chemistries from Archroma.
The TexCoat G4 technology from BW Converting allows precise application of softeners, antimicrobials, durable water repellents, flame retardants and other water-based chemicals. In combination with Montex stenters, it can reduce water, chemical and energy consumption by up to 50% compared to traditional pad application processes.
Monforts’ ATC provides manufacturers with a fully equipped facility for testing new finishing technologies under real production conditions. “Our ATC houses two Montex stenter finishing lines, a Thermex range for continuous dyeing, a full colour kitchen and lab-scale systems for batch trials,” said Hans Wroblowski, Monforts Head of Sales for South-East Asia. “The new TexCoat installation will enhance our capabilities and drive innovation in sustainable textile finishing.”
Rick Stanford, Vice President of Global Business Development for Textiles at BW Converting, emphasized the industry’s strong interest in the new setup. “Several textile manufacturers are already lining up for production trials at the ATC. Together, we are accelerating transformative changes that reduce energy, chemical and water consumption, while improving productivity and quality.”
Michael Schuhmann, Global Market Segment Manager for Technical Textiles at Archroma Textile Effects, highlighted the impact of the collaboration. “With Baldwin’s expertise, Monforts’ processing know-how and Archroma’s advanced chemistries, we are taking textile functionalization and colouration to the next level. Mills can now evaluate savings and performance under real industrial conditions without disrupting production.”
The new installation further strengthens Monforts’ role in supporting the textile industry’s shift towards sustainable and high-performance finishing solutions.
