Marks & Spencer Expands Partnership With Zalando To Accelerate European E-commerce Growth

Marks & Spencer (M&S) has announced an expanded partnership with ZEOS, the B2B logistics division of Zalando, to support and scale its online direct-to-consumer business across continental Europe. Beginning early next year, ZEOS will manage order fulfillment for M&S’s fashion, home and beauty products across 21 European markets.
M&S first partnered with Zalando Fulfilment Solutions in 2022 to manage marketplace orders placed on Zalando, About You and Amazon. The collaboration has helped fuel strong online momentum, with M&S reporting a 131% year-on-year increase in Zalando sales in the last quarter.
Under the new agreement, ZEOS will integrate M&S inventory into a single stock pool and deploy its advanced order management system to improve efficiency and scale. The use of ZEOS’ local fulfillment network is expected to enhance customer experience through faster delivery and returns, reducing delivery times by up to two to three days.
The company expects the expanded arrangement to increase European online sales by up to 30%, while reducing logistics costs by as much as half and improving operating margins.
Mark Lemming, Managing Director of International at M&S, called the expanded partnership a strategic step forward. “Our partnership with Zalando supported us as we began to scale our online growth over the last three years. Now we’re taking the next step, leveraging ZEOS’ operational infrastructure to scale our online business in Europe further,” he said.
