Gartex Texprocess India To Launch Kolkata Edition In January 2027

Gartex Texprocess India will expand into Eastern India with its first Kolkata edition from January 22–24, 2027, at Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan. The launch adds a third city to the exhibition’s annual calendar, alongside Delhi and Mumbai.
Organised by Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India and MEX Exhibitions, the show will connect the region’s textile and garment manufacturers with machinery suppliers, technology providers, fabric producers and buyers from India and overseas.
The Kolkata edition will cover circular knitting, hosiery and knitwear machinery; spinning, sewing, embroidery and garment-making technology; digital textile printing, dyeing and finishing equipment; and weaving and woven processing solutions. Jute processing technology, fabrics, trims and accessories will also be featured.
West Bengal has a strong textile base spanning handlooms, hosiery, garments and jute. The organisers said Kolkata’s location would also provide access to manufacturers from Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand and the North-East, as well as neighbouring markets such as Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan.
Raj Manek, Executive Director and Board Member, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings, said Eastern India’s textile heritage and its manufacturing community’s interest in technology and new markets made Kolkata a natural next step for the exhibition.
Gaurav Juneja, Director, MEX Exhibitions, said the event would give manufacturers and buyers an opportunity to compare and source technologies in one place, while offering exhibitors access to a new regional market.
