Bharat Tex 2026 Set To Open With Record Participation, Strong Global Interest

Bharat Tex 2026, India’s flagship global textile and apparel event, will open on July 14 with its biggest edition yet, bringing together the entire textile value chain from fibre and yarn to fashion, technical textiles, sustainability, innovation, investment and global trade.
Addressing the media on the eve of the event, Narendra Goenka, Chairman, Bharat Tex Trade Federation, said the third edition has witnessed unprecedented participation despite global geopolitical challenges.
“This is the biggest Bharat Tex so far,” Goenka said, announcing that the event will feature around 2,000 exhibitors, over 60,000 pre-registered trade visitors, 3,231 overseas delegates, 2,982 domestic buyers, 2,426 buying and sourcing consultants, 6,087 pre-scheduled B2B meetings, 102 knowledge sessions, 351 speakers and 24,000 mobile app downloads ahead of the show’s opening.
Goenka noted that Bharat Tex has rapidly evolved into one of the world’s leading textile and apparel platforms, reflecting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 5F vision Farm to Fibre, Fibre to Factory, Factory to Fashion and Fashion to Foreign.
Bhadresh Dodia, Co-Chairman, Bharat Tex Trade Federation, highlighted that the event has attracted even larger participation than previous editions despite global uncertainties, demonstrating the growing strength of the Bharat Tex brand.
He credited the success to the collective efforts of the Ministry of Textiles, the Bharat Tex Trade Federation comprising all 11 Export Promotion Councils along with CITI and CMAI, state governments and industry partners.
Leading textile companies including Trident, Vardhman, PDS, ColorJet, Shahi, RSWM and Arvind are supporting the event as industry partners.
Dodia said 11 states will participate in Bharat Tex 2026, with Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Gujarat serving as State Partners, while Maharashtra and Karnataka are Supporting State Partners and Tamil Nadu is the Knowledge Partner.
He described Bharat Tex as a 360-degree textile platform, that brings together manufacturers, exporters, buyers, policymakers, investors and technology providers under one roof.
Highlighting the event’s role in promoting new exporters, Dodia cited the example of a cluster from Ichalkaranji, where 16 first-time exporting companies that participated in an earlier edition collectively secured export orders worth Rs 45 crore.
The event will also witness participation from international ministerial delegations from New Zealand, Russia and Sri Lanka, alongside buyers from 126 countries.
A major highlight of Bharat Tex 2026 will be the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) coming into effect on July 15, which is expected to significantly benefit India’s textile and apparel exports.bSeveral leading UK brands, including Marks & Spencer, Next and Primark, are expected to participate in sourcing activities during the event.
The organisers also announced the participation of several Chief Ministers, including Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, along with high-level government-to-government meetings involving international delegations.

“July 15 will be written in golden letters in the history of the Indian apparel industry,” he said, adding that a special FTA Round Table involving Union Ministers, UK buyers and leading Indian exporters will be held during Bharat Tex 2026.
Organised by the Bharat Tex Trade Federation with the support of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, Bharat Tex 2026 aims to strengthen India’s position as a global sourcing hub while showcasing the country’s capabilities across the entire textile value chain.
