MPIDC Speeds Up Work On Two New Industrial Parks In Neemuch

The Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) has accelerated work on two upcoming industrial areas, Jhanjharwada and Cheetakheda, in Neemuch district, positioning them as strategic manufacturing hubs for investors from neighbouring Rajasthan and Gujarat.
Together, the two parks involve a planned investment of nearly Rs 200 crore and are expected to draw industries in textiles, chemicals, alkaloids and renewable energy.
According to officials, the Jhanjharwada industrial area spans about 86 hectares and is being developed at a cost of Rs 78 crore. It comprises 193 industrial plots and has already attracted investment commitments of nearly Rs 614 crore. The park is projected to generate around 4,500 direct jobs once operational.
The Cheetakheda industrial area, spread across 128 hectares, is under active development with an outlay of roughly Rs 90 crore. Authorities expect it to attract about Rs 275 crore in the first phase of industry investments.
MPIDC officials said Neemuch’s location along the Rajasthan border provides a strong logistical advantage for companies seeking faster access to interstate markets.
“We are receiving increased enquiries from textile processors, chemical manufacturers and renewable energy firms,” said Rajesh Rathod, Executive Director, MPIDC, Ujjain.
Both industrial parks are being developed with upgraded internal roads, dedicated water supply systems, warehousing facilities and reliable power infrastructure to support manufacturing operations. Industry representatives believe the two parks could significantly enhance Neemuch’s industrial profile.
“With planned infrastructure and proximity to major trade routes, Jhanjharwada and Cheetakheda hold strong potential for new investments. Industries need robust and responsive infrastructure, and the department must consider sector-specific requirements to ensure better participation,” said industrialist Ankur Agrawal.
