BOSS Debuts Sustainable NovaPoly Yarn At Australian Open

BOSS has unveiled NovaPoly yarn, a recycled alternative to virgin polyester, at the year’s first major international tennis tournament in Melbourne. Developed in collaboration with Jiaren Chemical Recycling and NBC LLC, NovaPoly combines sustainability with performance, featuring an additive that accelerates biodegradability in anaerobic active microbial environments.
The yarn will be showcased on-court in BOSS tennis apparel worn by brand ambassadors Taylor Fritz and Matteo Berrettini, including jerseys, shorts and caps. Crafted from pre- and post-consumer textile waste, NovaPoly represents a step forward in fashion technology and aligns with BOSS’s THE CHANGE initiative, which explores innovative materials and sustainable design solutions.
NovaPoly contributes to BOSS’s sustainability goals, including reducing microplastics, while maintaining high-performance standards. The yarn’s journey from recycled waste to sportswear highlights the brand’s commitment to innovation, quality and advanced materials.
BOSS designs featuring NovaPoly yarn will be available online, in BOSS stores, and through select wholesale partners globally starting January 2026.
