Indorama Ventures Unveils Recycled Trevira CS Eco Fibers

Indorama Ventures, a global sustainable chemical company, has taken a significant step toward advancing circularity in textiles for home and public interiors. To enable fabric manufacturers to develop more sustainable versions of the well-known flame-retardant Trevira® CS fabrics, the company has introduced Trevira® flame-retardant fibers and filament yarns containing 50% recycled textile material.
The new offering was presented to key customers during the Heimtextil trade show in Frankfurt in mid-January.

Jesper Nielsen, Global Key Account Manager – Flame Retardancy, said the development leverages Indorama Ventures’ joint venture with Jiaren Chemical Recycling.
“Jiaren uses textile waste from both consumers and industry to produce recycled polyester chips,” he explained. “From these chips, we produce our high-modified Trevira® flame-retardant fibers and yarns. Fabric manufacturers using these materials can apply for the Trevira® CS Eco brand, combining circularity with the permanent flame-retardant performance Trevira CS has been known for since 1980.”
Indorama Ventures announced its partnership with Jiaren Chemical Recycling in November 2025, reinforcing its ambition to lead in large-scale textile circularity. The newly released textile-recycled Trevira® FR fibers and yarns mark a key outcome of this collaboration, delivering resource-efficient textiles without compromising comfort, performance or safety.
