Hugo Boss Appoints Dietmar Knoess As Senior Vice President, Global HR

Hugo Boss has announced the appointment of Dietmar Knoess as Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources, effective February 16. He will succeed Jochen Eckhold, who has been with the company since January 2019 and is leaving to pursue new professional opportunities.

Daniel Grieder, CEO of Hugo Boss, thanked Eckhold for his contributions, noting that he helped shape the company into a modern employer by introducing flexible working models, advancing the digitalisation of HR systems and strengthening employee services with a greater focus on overall employee experience.

Grieder also welcomed Knoess, highlighting his extensive experience in global HR leadership, HR transformation and employer branding, as well as his familiarity with the company. He expressed confidence that Knoess would contribute significantly to building a forward-looking work environment that supports both employees and business growth.

Knoess joins Hugo Boss after serving as Vice President People & Organization at Puma, a role he held until October 2025 following a 15-year tenure with the company. Earlier in his career, he worked at Hugo Boss as Global Director, Human Resources & Facility Management, from 2006 to 2010.

He has also held senior HR roles at Wella, part of Procter & Gamble, and at Tengelmann, gaining broad experience across international organisations.
