Ambercycle Partners With BHF To Scale Circular Polyester Production

Ambercycle, a materials science company focused on circular textile solutions, has strengthened its strategic partnership with BHF, a global polyester manufacturer, to scale the production of specialty polyester tops made with Cycora for apparel and textile applications.
The collaboration marks a significant step toward expanding the availability of circular polyester for global apparel brands. Under the partnership, Ambercycle’s Cycora will serve as a core recycled input in BHF’s supply chain, supporting brands seeking to reduce reliance on virgin fossil-based polyester while maintaining performance, quality and scalability.
The initiative builds on both companies’ commitment to advancing textile-to-textile recycling and reducing the industry’s dependence on non-renewable resources. By integrating Cycora into BHF’s manufacturing ecosystem, the partnership aims to accelerate the adoption of regenerated polyester derived from end-of-life textiles.
Unlike conventional recycled polyester made from PET bottles, Cycora is produced using Ambercycle’s proprietary molecular regeneration technology, which breaks down waste textiles into their molecular components and regenerates them into high-quality polyester suitable for demanding apparel applications.
Through BHF’s global manufacturing capabilities, Cycora-based materials will become more accessible to apparel brands seeking scalable circular solutions that meet strict standards for durability, consistency and performance.
Ambercycle said it continues to expand its network of partners across the textile value chain, working with fibre producers, mills and brands to enable commercial-scale textile-to-textile recycling and reduce textile waste worldwide.
